چکیده

Earlier findings reported the anticancer-mediated activities of curcumin-modified compounds Pentagamavunone-1 (PGV-1) and Chemoprevention Curcumin Analog 1.1 (CCA-1.1) with several mechanisms including cell cycle arrest, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, migration disruption. Our study aims to evaluate antimigratory activity PGV-1 CCA-1.1 on aggressive breast cancer lines (MDA-MB-231 HCC1954 cells) their effect HER2 protein. The trypan blue exclusion method was conducted for antiproliferative effect. or determined by wound healing assay. Using gelatin zymography, we checked secretion level matrix metalloproteinase (MMP). We also evaluated human epidermal growth receptor-2 (HER2) after incubation in cells western blot. Based antiproliferation assay, MDA-MB-231 were sensitive CCA-1.1. MMP-2 only observed while MMP-9 MDA-MB-231. Both significantly suppressed cells. Moreover, inhibited protein levels although it not significant, whereas did affect This strengthens scientific evidence future exploration as candidate chemotherapy multitarget against cancer. Keywords: analog, migration, MMP-9, HER2, cancer.

Evaluation of cytotoxic effects of condition medium from amniotic epithelial cells on cancer cell lines HeLa and MDA-MB-231

Introduction: Amniotic membrane, the innermost layer of extra-embryonic tissue, contains mesenchymal and epithelial stem cells. The amniotic mesenchymal cells have the capability of inhibition of growth of cancer cells. In this research, the effects of amniotic epithelial cells on the viability of cancer cells and the role of apoptosis in this procedure were evaluated. Methods: Amniotic mem...

Resveratrol augments paclitaxel treatment in MDA-MB-231 and paclitaxel-resistant MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells.

BACKGROUND Resveratrol (RES) inhibits cell growth, induces apoptosis and augments chemotherapeutics in multiple cancer types, although its effects on drug-resistant cancer cells are unknown. MATERIALS AND METHODS To study the effects of resveratrol in triple-negative breast cancer cells that are resistant to the common cancer drug, paclitaxel, a novel paclitaxel-resistant cell line was genera...

Potential Effects of Chrysin on MDA-MB-231 Cells

This study aims to elucidate the effects of chrysin on human ER-negative breast cancer cell line, MDA-MB-231. The study demonstrated that treatment of MDA-MB-231 cells with 20 microM chysin for 48 h significantly inhibited the growth of MDA-MB-231 cells and induced cytoplasmic lipid accumulation in the cells, but that the observed of cell death was not caused by apoptosis. The expression of PPA...

Effect of Peptide Derived from Scorpion Toxin on Enhanced Permeability of Doxorubicin Conjugated Gold Nanoparticles in HeLa and MDA-MB-231 Cells

Background: Cell penetrating peptides (CPPs) can enter a cell through the cell membrane, and used in the fields of drug delivery, gene therapy, and cancer therapy by their property transporting various molecules into cytoplasm. Gold nanospheres (GNSs) are a useful tool for molecular imaging, because they are not cytotoxic and have high solubility, excellent light scattering property and ease of...
